When is Love Southsea Market?

Love Southsea Market takes place on the first and third weekend of every month, with our Christmas Markets held on the first three weekends of December. For all upcoming dates, please visit our booking page.


Who can trade at Love Southsea Market?

We welcome artists, makers, designers, crafters, food producers, street food traders and independent businesses. If you’re unsure whether your products are suitable, please contact us before booking.


How do I book a pitch?

Booking is quick and easy through our website. Simply visit our booking page, choose your preferred market date and complete your booking online.
All pitches must be booked and paid for in advance.


What do I need to trade?

All traders must have:

£5 million Public Liability Insurance.
- Any relevant Food Hygiene Registration (if selling food or drink).
- Any licences or certifications required for the products they sell.


What do I need to bring?

Our pitches are space only.

Please bring:
- Your own marquee (suitable for outdoor use)
- Appropriate marquee weights
- Tables and display equipment
- Chairs (if required)
- Stock
- Signage


Do you provide marquees?

No. Love Southsea Markets no longer provides marquee hire. All traders are responsible for bringing their own marquee and suitable weights.


Where can I find set-up information?

All arrival times, unloading instructions, pitch access, parking information and pack-down guidance can be found on our Set-Up Information page. Please read this before every market, as instructions may vary depending on the event.


Is electricity available?

Electricity is available at selected markets only. There is a £5 daily charge, and all electrical equipment must be PAT tested. Please request electricity when booking your pitch.


Where can I park?

There are several public car parks and on-street parking options close to Palmerston Road. Parking charges may apply.


Can I leave before the market closes?

No. For the safety of customers, traders and our team, vehicles are not permitted onto the market during trading hours unless authorised by the Market Manager in an emergency.


What happens if the weather is bad?

Love Southsea Markets operates in most weather conditions. If severe weather or unforeseen circumstances mean a market has to be cancelled, traders will be contacted as soon as possible. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for our cancellation policy.


Can I share my pitch?

No. Each pitch is allocated to one business only unless prior written permission has been given by Love Southsea Markets.


Can I sell anything?

We welcome quality handmade, artisan, vintage, food and independent retail businesses. However, Love Southsea Markets reserves the right to decline applications that are unsuitable for the market or conflict with existing traders.
