When is the market?

The market is the first and third weekend of every month and every weekend in December.


Who can trade at the market?

Love Southsea's ethos is everybody has the right to trade and we do not turn anyone down (but no real fur or weapons)


What do I need to trade with Love Southsea?

You will need a public liability insurance to the value of £5 million and if you are a produce seller of cold or hot food, you will need a health and hygiene certificate from Portsmouth City Council or the council that you were registered from.


How do I book in?

All our dates are advertised here online. This is where you book and pay for your pitches advance of the market.


What do I need to bring?

You have rented a 3 x 3 m space.
You will need to bring a marquee, preferably a pop-up marquee is the most easiest.
You will need to bring your tables stands, ECT.


How do I hire a marquee?

We have a handful of marquees available for hire for each market days. These do tend to get whipped up very quickly so don't delay if you need hire a marquee, you will find this on the drop-down box of the day which you would like to book. (Please note, you will still need to bring your own tables)


How do we set up for the market?

Setting up is easy - you can either drive or walk on to Palmerston Road. Our Market Manager will give you an area for you to set up.


What if I need electricity?

It is ok to plug-in to the high street at the market everything you plug into the system needs to be PAT tested. To plug-in, this will cost £5 a day which you will need to give to the Market Manager.


Where do I park?

There is many on street and car parks in the area around Southsea shopping precinct.


What time is set up for the markets?

Set up for the market is from 7am to 9am with pack down by 5pm on a Saturday and 7.30am to 9am with pack down by 4pm on a Sunday.

Strictly no car movement between 9 am and the pack up time.
